What Does A Holiday Schedule In A Divorce Or Child Custody Case Look Like?
Throughout my career as an attorney here in my hometown of East Brunswick, New Jersey, I have always embraced that sharing holidays after a divorce (or after two parents split up) is an extremely sensitive issue. New Jersey Family lawyers and judges deal with this highly charged problem for countless parents on literally a daily basis. Certainly, the lawyers at my law firm understand that both parents want to be with their children on holidays one hundred percent of the time. However, the reality is that both parents must embrace sharing and co-parenting around the holidays in a manner that is in the best interest of their children. Ultimately, a judge of the Family Part of the Superior Court of New Jersey shall execute either a consent order (following court mandated mediation) or enact their own court order if the parents are unable to agree.
Below, please find two samples of what a holiday schedule looks like. One contains the Christian holidays and the other the Jewish holidays. To learn more, please feel free to contact my office today.
